The Adventures of Wee Robert Bruce

The Adventures of Wee Robert Bruce

Set in the late 13th century, The Adventures of Wee Robert Bruce is a series of short stories about the childhood adventures of Robert the Bruce. He would become Scotland’s greatest King, but little is known about his childhood. He was born and raised in Ayrshire and the southwest of Scotland, but in the years after he had secured victory for Scotland, he lived out his final years in the Leven Valley, north of Dumbarton. His Manor House was built on the banks of the River Leven and it is this area that provides the fictional setting for The Adventures of Wee Robert Bruce.

Ideal for children aged from eight to ten, or as bedtime stories for younger children, The Adventures of Wee Robert Bruce provides us with an intimate and very spiritual insight into the life and times of a medieval Royal Manor House. It also shows us what life was like for ordinary folk as a backdrop to the brave adventures of a boy who would one day be king......

The Adventures of Wee Robert Bruce is a paper back, 100 pages (195mm x 130mm) and priced at £4.99

Paul was born in Glasgow in 1962 shortly before his twin sister Donna.

He studied Media and Communication at Clydebank College in Scotland and is an award winning short film maker through his writing and as an actor. Paul also studies Scottish history and culture and participates in storytelling events.

Inspired by the 19th century fairytales and folklore created in Germany by the Brothers Grimm, Paul has branched into writing childrens' fictional short stories and poetry.

As a younger man, Paul spent several years in Belgium. There, he lived the bohemian life style as an artist for several years with exhibitions in Antwerp and Brussels. He speaks Flemish and Dutch.

At an early age, Paul obtained the gift of spiritualism and has used these psychic experiences to write his 'Wee Bruce' short stories. They focus on a 'gifted' boy who accepts his fate during the medieval period, and through hardships is helped and influenced through the spirit world.
